Nests a block of frames inside a Graphic Symbol container (to preserve it) and then converts the container to a sequence of single-frame Movie Clips.
Filters such as Blur, Glow, Image adjustments, etc. are only available for Movie Clips. The only way to apply a filter to animation but also keep it 'exportable' as a PNG sequence or MOV is to convert each frame of this animation to a Movie Clip.
Frames To Movieclips automates the process in the most non-destructive way possible, preserving the original selection inside a Graphic Symbol container and converting these frames to Movie Clips. In this way the original animation can still be polished and re-timed internally after the effects have been applied.
Flash 8 – CS6 only: The command adds invisible markers* that define the bounds of motion inside the container to prevent clipping – another specific problem with Flash filters.
Where does it work?
Timeline, block selection of frames
EDAP Tools shortcut
* Flash 8 – CS6 only: The invisible markers may need to be manually adjusted if users tweak their animation inside the container after the frames have been converted to Movie Clips.
Important! Depending on the complexity of your selection this command might take up to a few minutes to complete your request. If Flash pops up message(s) asking you if you'd like the command to continue working, just press 'Yes' as many times as necessary.
