Do the two '=' signs in the Head Layer Name mean anything?

I frequetly see the Head Symbol named, '== Head'.  Do the equals signes have any significance?

This naming convention is purely for convenience. It has no functional significance at all.

== Head is just easier to spot when looking at the layers stack.
