How come SGC1 keyframes two symbols on different layers when I'm only on one layer?

Question

Basically, I put the same symbol on two layers and auto keyframe is on. So I try to keyframe one layer but the other gets keyframed too. How do I fix?

What version of Flash/Animate are you using? What OS?

It happens in all animate versions I've used, and regardless of OS it happens (I've tried in on Mac, Windows)

Please, be specific about the versions.

Also if you need further assistance, record a video of the issue showing the whole screen (screen capture), version of Animate and submit a file which displays the problem.

To investigate we have to be able to reproduce.
