How to prevent symbol shrinkage when using the ` snap command? [Layer Parenting bug in Animate, fixed in AA 22.0.5]

Whenever I use the ` command to snap children to their parents while I have layer parenting enabled, it caused all symbols to move and shrink slightly. How can I prevent this?

Thanks for reporting this!
I managed to reproduce the issue, so we will investigate if a fix is possible. I'll post again here if there is additional information.
For now, keep your layers unparented while you work and only parent at the end when your animation is complete to clean up the arcs.

Layer Parenting is very poorly implemented by adobe and causes lots of issues, many of which cannot be resolved at plugin level, so our general advice is to only use it as a final step, a shell over the SMR Core.

We did tests.
The shrinking is caused by Animate and is a result of inaccuracies due to rounding.
Nothing can be done at this stage.

To avoid this problem, work with Layer Parenting off and only switch it on when your animation is complete to clean up your arcs.

[Edit - 20 Jan 2022] We have reported the bug to Adobe and here is a new Known Issue entry with a video.
