Performance issues [Resolved with EDAPT v.6.9]

Hello.

First of all, thank you for your amazing tool. Animate finally became a good animation software, thanks to you.

my only concern is about performance. when i grab an Ik point or any peace with the kinetool, the responsive time if very slow, wich maki it difficult to use properly.

I know that scripts in Adobe are interpreted languages and that mean lot of ressources, but i wonder if there is a tips to improve that.

I'v got a PC with a AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Eight-Core Processor  3.20 GHz  and a 16Go of RAM. GPU is an NVIDIA Quadro P1000

software is install on an SSD hardDrive, but project on a common hardDrive.

Thaks for your answer.

KineFlex's long-standing performance issues in Adobe Animate
have been resolved with the newly released EDAP Tools v.6.9.

Hi Camille,

Thank you for the kind words!

Unfortunately Animate's general performance in recent years has been much worse than that of Flash. This got even worse when the Adobe team introduced the so-called Advanced Layers.

We have reported the issue to them years ago so far and they have not done anything to improve it.

There are, however, some indications that Animate 2024 may have slightly better performance, and also internally we have managed to re-work KineFlex, so in v.7 of EDAP Tools we hope that it will perform much better in Animate and be comparable to how it is in Flash.

Having said all the above though, what you describe sounds quite extreme.

If you like, do a test with one of our sample rigs, for example the Rabbit, to see if they perform better.

If so, you can send us via email one of your rigs to have a look at it and see if some improvements can be made.

Best regards!
